Lake Trasimeno: a paradise in the heart of Umbria

Nestled between the Umbrian heights and the Tuscan valleys, Lake Trasimeno is the fourth largest lake in Italy with a surface area of 128 square kilometres. The basin is of tectonic origin and lies in Umbria, a region nicknamed the 'green heart of Italy' for the beauty and incredible variety of its natural landscapes.
